Regional muster at Swan Hill ... 29-30th June

About 130 people gathered in chilly Swan Hill on the 2nd and 3rd of July for our Cornerstone Regional Muster. The theme for our time together was "Old Friends, New Times" and some friends came from as far away as Bundaberg and Newcastle to join in.

On the weekend Gil Cann (Cornerstone's Advocate) presented us with an overview about the times in which we live and he gave us very practical thoughts about maintaining a life of mission. Jono Dickinson (Dean of Swan Hill Cornerstone Community) also brought an inspiring look at the aspects of the gospel that appeal to Australians and we could sense that God was equipping us for the task of representing him well. Andy Vincent led us in sharing the Lord's supper together on the Sunday and Martin Watson facilitated a great discussion on missional community to finish out our time together. In between these sessions were many rich conversations, prayer together, stories, a farm tour, workshops, a bushdance and bonfires with the local community Saturday night and good food together. The divine quality of the God's life was very evident!
