Introduction

To Our Training

Since 1978, Cornerstone Community has offered unique two year training experiences that have been powerful and formative for many people and are designed to develop and deepen the student's personal understanding of Jesus' call to follow him and go and make disciples. Cornerstone's training experiences are currently unaccredited.

Training men and women as mature and fruitful ‘whole of life’ disciples of Jesus Christ is our core mission strategy. The Swan Hill Campus offers the first year foundations course and the Canowindra Campus offers an Apprenticeship in Disicpleship. A mission team year for eligible applicants follows. Both of these training experiences include subjects that are structured around central aspects of our calling as disciples of Jesus:

    • • interpreting and applying the Bible today
    • • developing authentic, life-deep spirituality
    • • responding to contemporary challenges
    • • developing practical mission skills

We draw on current scholarship and explore deeply the implications for personal and vocational life. Mentors actively assist each student in their training and discipleship, helping them engage deeply and practically with the realities of Christian life and mission today. The outcome is a worldview and life that are becoming spiritually natural and naturally spiritual.

“The training Cornerstone provides, when entered into with an open heart and mind, creates a robust atmosphere that goes deeper than classroom thinking. This training begs that you put it to the test in your workplace, relationships, and every other aspect of life. - William Louis - past student
